Thailand has sent more troops to the disputed border with Cambodia.
Thailand’s Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Phon Tham Wicharachai said the move was in response to the buildup of troops from the other side, according to reports from Thailand.
Tensions have been rising between the two sides along the border, where there is no clear demarcation line.
There was a brief exchange of fire late last month on May 28, killing a Cambodian soldier.
Bangkok says Cambodian soldiers and civilians have repeatedly crossed the border into Thailand, and Thai authorities have criticized Phnom Penh for its lack of will to control the situation.
